Organic Thyme wild is a distant relative of oregano and mint due to its similar flavour profile. Thyme has a woody, spicy flavour with hints of clove and mint. One of the oldest recorded herbs, thyme has been used for centuries.
These leaves are loved in the Caribbean and feature in Jerk Chicken. They can withstand high cooking temperatures and are therefore a great option for stews, casseroles and soups.
Thyme is often associated with the Middle East and is one of our 5 vital ingredients in the Zahtar spice blend. The French also add thyme to Bouquet Garni, where the muslin bags are left to steep in stews.
